One of the principal aims of the work program of the Regional Office of the Producer Business Unit (PBU) of FLO in Central America is that of fluid communications with all the different stakeholders in the FLO system: Producers and their Certified Organizations, the FLO PBU central management in Bonn, FLO-Cert at regional level, Labelling Initiatives, industry, cooperation agencies amongst others.

The experiences gathered since 2005, through more direct, constant contact of FLO Centroamerica with the organizations and the needs analysis which this contact has facilitated, has given us the opportunity to determine a working methodology which has as its primary goal rural socioeconomic development by way of the development and maintenance of reliable business partners in the supply chain.
